LeftField Media is a new company, based in Norwalk, CT, focused on developing face to face events for a broad range of communities rooted in contemporary culture and shared fan passions. At its core, LeftField Media is focused on creating amazing experiences for fans, creating value and growth for the industries it serves and developing a team culture rooted in innovation and shared success. The name LeftField is both a nod to the founders love of baseball and also a hint that we are a little off-center and full of surprises.
In addition to connecting with people with great event ideas, we are very interested in speaking with the right people who are good fit for our self-starter environment. We are currently considering candidates for the roles of Sales Specialist and Programming Specialist. We use the term “Specialist” for these roles because, yes, the job requires a candidate with special aptitude in a particular function such as sales or content programming. We also use the term “Specialist” because we are seeking candidates who also are seeking an opportunity to go above and beyond the traditional scope of a role and are drawn to be part of a team where contributions spread into several entrepreneurial areas of building a business.

Director of Events and Sponsorship Sales
LeftField Media is actively seeking a Director of Events & Sponsorship Sales to oversee a rapidly developing portfolio of events. Portfolio will include the newly launched Stream Con NYC (www.streamconnyc.com) and other launches and acquisitions (up to 5 events). Position responsibilities include managing and directing a sponsorship sales team, resposnibilty for own sales of exhibit booths and sponsorships, and strategic direction of event development and growth. Experience with selling high profile sponsorship to strategic accounts in the entertainment industry through tradeshows, corporate sponsorships, media, and/or digital media recommended. Candidates must be productive in building new business relationships, experienced in overseeing a team of sales representatives, and versed in aspects of running events. Ideal candidates will be personally motivated, high energy and enjoy an entrepreneurial environment.
Seeking candidates with energy and enthusiasm for value driven sales. Experience in exhibit booth sales, corporate sponsorship sales, event and conference sales, media sales, and/or digital media sales recommended. Candidates must be productive in building new business relationships and have desires to contribute to the overall success of the company’s events.
